I was told to shake the laser toner cartridge when my prints are faded?

If you think your toner cartridge is near the end of its life expectancy or if the toner is showing signs of being low, a gentle rocking back and forth may distribute the toner and allow more pages to be printed, but it is not recommended to shake your toner because it may damage the cartridge or cause toner to leak out of the waste bin. Depending on the make and model of the printer, the toner will only be able to print a specified number of pages before it needs to be replaced.

How can I print on both sides of a page?

This method of printing is called duplexing. Most laser printers have this option available at time of purchase. It is easier to purchase the printer with this option already included, but some have this option available separately and can be installed later. If you are interested in this feature, please give us a call to see if this option is available for your printer. Most inkjets are not duplex capable, but some models do have that option available.

Why does my printer print incorrect text or garbage?

There are many reasons why this can happen. The most common are 1) Incorrect drivers. Make sure they are seated in correctly. Unplug the cables and replug them back in.

I do not know what my printer uses to connect it to the computer?

Of the many types the most common is USB (Universal serial bus). USB has a type of connection where one end is flat and thick as three pennies stacked together and the other end is square. The second is a network connection. This type of connection requires a network and mainly setup at home networks or networks with more than 2 or more computers sharing a single printer on a hub or switch or router. It normally uses a CAT 5 cable with an RJ45 connector similar to a phone line. The third is older but just as reliable. This type of connection is parallel. Unlike USB both ends are two-half inches long and less then 1/2 inch thick. The one end contains little pins that are silver or gold finished.
